How to upload your website using Filezilla
Solution
Filezilla is a free open source FTP application that can be used to easily upload your website files.
If you are unsure of your websites FTP details email
helpdesk@imagine.co.za
.
We will use these example details,
FTP server
www.mysite.co.za
username mysiteftp
password mypass01
First download and install Filezilla (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/
)
Once you open the application you will see the following screen,
Enter your ftp details at the top of the window under, host/username/password then click quickconnect.
You will then be logged onto the ftp server and you are ready to upload your site.
Navigate to the folder you wish to upload on the left side (local site)
Then select the files you wish to upload, right click on the files and click upload or simply drag the files on the right side (remote site)
You will then see the files appear on the remote site.
You should now be able to use your website.
